This  group consists of mathematicians  who devote a significant portion of their time to interdiscplinary problems in the areas of interest to the centre. Currently, the group consists of researchers with background in algebra, combinatorics, number theory, and theoretical physics.

While each member of the group has individual long term goals, the group as a whole has several major long term research areas that it is focusing on. Presently, they include Cryptography and Network Security, Algebraic Coding theory and Information theory.
