Core Infrastructure
Physical: The built-up space is about 14000 sq.ft.
area, with air-conditioned labs, conference rooms and class rooms. Stabilised
220V power is available, with full UPS backup round the clock. A pantry
is also available.
Computing & Networking: The Centre has a high-end
80-node networked computing environment with Sun E-450 and other servers
and a 256 Kbps leased line Internet access.
Laboratories: A wet biology lab and a communication
lab are being added to the facilities of the Centre. Additionally, members
of the Centre have access to laboratories in the Electronics Engineering
Department, CAD Centre and the Computer Centre in the campus on a collaborative
basis.
Other facilities: The Centre also has access to
the common infrastructure of Anna University. This includes the libraries, guesthouses, cafeteria and auditoria both in the
MIT campus
and in the main campus of Anna University at
Guindy.
